Amsterdam, May 16, 2022–During pregnancy, the baby’s cells migrate into the mother’s bloodstream and back into the baby, this is called ‘fetal-maternal microchimerism’.
 
For 41 weeks, the cells circulate back and forth, and after the baby is born, many of these cells remain in the mother’s body, leaving a permanent imprint in the mother’s tissues, bones, brain, and skin, and remain there, sometimes for decades.
Any child a mother has after that will also leave a similar imprint on and in her body.

Even if a pregnancy is not full term or in the event of an abortion, these cells still migrate into your bloodstream.

Research has shown that if a mother’s heart is injured, fetal cells will rush to the injury site and turn into different types of cells that specialize in repairing the heart.
The baby helps the mother recover, while the mother helps the baby grow.
 
If that’s not unimaginable and unbelievable, I don’t know what is.

This is often the reason why certain diseases disappear during pregnancy.
It’s incredible how the mother’s body protects the baby at all costs, and the baby protects and rebuilds the mother – so that the baby can develop and survive safely.

Studies have also shown that cells from a fetus are present in a mother’s brain 18 years after delivery.
How great is that?

If you are a mother, you know how to intuitively feel your child even when they are not there.

Well, there is scientific evidence that mothers carry them with them for years, even after giving birth.

Also nice to know: when a girl is born, she contains all the eggs necessary for having children.
Those eggs from which a child is then born, have therefore already been in their grandmother’s womb.
 
So not only do you come from your mother’s womb, you also come from your grandmother’s womb.

Nature is incredible.

And be proud of your stretch marks.
That is a sign of fertility.
Wear those tiger stripes with pride.

This is not a really moralistic story, except for a bit of awareness about how the child also protects the mother during pregnancy and vice versa.
Yesterday we also stopped to think about mothers whose children were never born, or who have lost their child.

Unwanted childless in various ways.
You are also a mother to the child in your heart.
